All Things New, Starting With YOU : Diving Deeper

See Jesus

Ephesians 2:1-10

From Death to Life!

And you were dead in your trespasses and sins in which you previously walked according to the ways of this world, according to the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit now working in the disobedient.  We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also.  But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love that he had for us, made us alive with Christ even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace! He also raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavens in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might display the immeasurable riches of his grace through his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God's gift- not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.

God's work on earth didn't end after Jesus went to heaven.

INSTEAD, THE WORK OF MAKING ALL THINGS NEW CONTINUES BECAUSE GOD'S PRESENCE REMAINS WITH US. THE HOLY SPIRIT CAME TO CONTINUE PRODUCING THE FRUIT OF NEW CREATION IN AND THROUGH OUR LIVES.

The Bible teaches us that we do not have to wait for who we are in Christ to became true.

even though we live in a world  heavy with sin, we can remember what The Word has said about who we already are as we are 'Hidden In Jesus', We can encourage our hearts and strengthen our faith by remembering what is true of us now as we wait to be reunited with God.

IF YOU ARE A FOLLOWER OF CHRIST, YOU ARE LIVING EVIDENCE OF NEW CREATION. SCRIPTURE TEACHES THAT WE, AS BELIEVERS, SHARE IN CHRIST'S DEATH AND RESURRECTION. IN THE HERE AND NOW, WE PRIMARILY EXPERIENCE THIS REALITY AS SPIRITUAL. WE BECOME MORE AND MORE LIKE CHRIST IN OUR THOUGHTS, ATTITUDES, AND ACTIONS.

Philippians 3:20 encourages us that as a new creation we are also awaiting a new home...
"Our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly wait for a Saviour from there, the Lord Jesus Christ."

What a promise for now and a hope for our futures as we live between the 'it is finished' and the 'it is done' of Gods incredible plan of grace and love!

Catch a glimpse of the reality of your new creation, all things new identity through the truth of Scripture below!

Know Jesus

This week, you can dive deeper into the message through one or all of the following:

Make the following declerations:

Discovery Bible Study

TO BEGIN

Pray and ask Holy Spirit to teach you about God from His word.

Next, read the verse a couple of times.

Now, ask these questions:

  1. What does this tell me about God/Jesus?

  2. What does this tell me about people?

  3. How can I respond to what I just read?

When you’re done asking these questions, it’s a great idea to pray and thank God for teaching you more about who He is and who you are!

Discovery Bible Study (DBS) is a way for anyone, anywhere to read God's word! You can dive deeper into this week's message by doing a DBS one any one or all of these scriptures. DBS is a great tool to use for your own devotions, as a bible study with friends, or as an evangelism tool!

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17

  • Pray that we will have revelation of God's full plan to make us and creation NEW!

  • Pray that we will walk in our heavenly citizenship.

  • Pray that we will see the old made in new in healings, salvations, and minds renewed!
