God’s Love Requires a Response: Diving Deeper

See Jesus

God's Love Requires A Response

God has confessed His love for us.  He has proclaimed His love for us through His Creation.  He has written it in the Bible.  He has demonstrated it through the life, death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

God loves "you"!

We can respond one of two ways to God's invitation to have a personal loving relationship with Him.  We can reject Him or we can receive Him.

A person rejects God when they do not believe in Jesus. The Person of Jesus and the Work of Jesus can be summed up in this Bible verse,

"God made him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."
2 Corinthians 5:21

If we don't believe in Jesus, we reject God's love.

God continues to love the person who rejects Him.  However, if a person rejects Jesus as their own personal Lord and Savior and dies, they will separate themselves from the Love of God for all eternity.

A person receives God and His Love by believing in and confessing Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour. God's love is a personal love and it must be received personally and by confession.

Have you received God's love?
Have you believed in and confessed Jesus as your own personal Lord and Saviour?

"Yes" -  Congratulations!  You have accessed the Love of God.  Make your home in His love.  Think about His love.

"No" -   Thank you for staying on the journey of discovering God's love.  As you keep coming to hear the message of Jesus, belief/faith will grow in your heart!  The faith from God's Word will grow in your heart until one day you will want to confess it with your mouth!

"Not sure" - Hey, it happens.  Sometimes faith grows in our hearts bit by bit.  It can happen over time and then we realize we have not confessed our belief in Jesus. If you can't remember ever telling someone that you believe in Jesus, I encourage you to do so today.

Family, can we all do something?  Would you click on the "I Believe" button below.  It will open up an 'I Believe" Statement followed by a prayer.
(It may be easier to read on a computer than phone)

If you agree with the "I Believe" Statement, will you click send?  It will come back to me as an email.

If you believe the "I Believe" Statement and prayed the prayer but you don't think you have ever prayed a prayer like that before, will you let me know when you send the email back?  We want to encourage you!

Know Jesus

This week, you can dive deeper into the message through one or all of the following:

  • Sing the song "Jesus Loves Me" and let the words sink in.

  • Do a DBS on Romans 5:8.

  • Listen to "Jesus Does" by We The Kingdom.

  • Respond to the "I Believe" Statement.

Discovery Bible Study

TO BEGIN

Pray and ask Holy Spirit to teach you about God from His word.

Next, read the verse a couple of times.

Now, ask these questions:

  1. What does this tell me about God/Jesus?

  2. What does this tell me about people?

  3. How can I respond to what I just read?

When you’re done asking these questions, it’s a great idea to pray and thank God for teaching you more about who He is and who you are!

Discovery Bible Study (DBS) is a way for anyone, anywhere to read God's word! You can dive deeper into this week's message by doing a DBS one any one or all of these scriptures. DBS is a great tool to use for your own devotions, as a bible study with friends, or as an evangelism tool!

Romans 5:8
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this:  While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Prayer Prompts

  • Pray for the Lord to lead us in worship by His Spirit.

  • Pray for deeper revelation of the heart of God towards us and towards others.

  • Pray for the influx of souls into the Kingdom! Pray that the love of God would shine through the family as we are on mission through hospitality.
