Will You....?

We have the Ability to Respond!

We have the ability to hear the Word of God concerning salvation through faith in Christ Jesus and to respond by rejecting it in unbelief. The Bible tells us that many will choose to reject Christ and His Gospel.

Their names will not be recorded in the Lamb’s Book of Life. They will not be delivered from the distress of the Tribulation through the Rapture. Anyone whose name is not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life either at their natural death or at the Lord’s Second Coming will be sentenced to an eternity of agony in hell and ultimately the lake of fire.

OR

We have the ability to hear the Word of God concerning salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and to respond by receiving salvation through faith.

The Bible tells us that although the Lord God desires that NONE perish and experience eternity apart from Him, many will reject Him. Few will choose to come to the Father by the narrow gate of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

All are called, few will choose.

Yet to those who choose to believe, to them Father God gives the right to become the children of God.

Whatever you choose, be confident of this.

The Lord God loves you!! He has forgiven your sins through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

He is not mad at you.

He will not make you receive his salvation. He will not force you into repentance.

He invites us, as all true love does.

If you are caught surprised by your natural death, the Rapture of the Church or the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is not because Christ did not warn you through His Word and the preaching of His people.

Your surprise will be your own refusal to listen, to hear and to receive His free gift of salvation.

Those who have received the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour, have heard and heard again the faith-giving words of the Holy Scriptures.

They have chosen to let the Word of God fall into their ears and drop onto their hearts where the Word of God accomplished its good work of producing faith.

The Holy Spirit quickened God’s Word to them and God’s faith arose in their hearts. They did not supress it, They sought it, until the point in which their confession came bubbling across their mouth… “I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Their names are now recorded in the Lamb’s Book of Life! The Word of God says that upon sincere confession of faith, salvation is secure.

No one can snatch the believer out of the Father’s hand nor kidnap them out of His family. If they shall die before the Lord’s rapture, they will merely be “dead in Christ”.

Their body asleep in its grave, their soul/spirit will be united with Christ in Heaven. Upon His return for the church, they will come with Him, their body will come up out of its grave and they will be glorified in the air.

If the believer remains alive until the Lord’s Rapture, they will be caught up in the air with Him and translated into their glorified body.

Those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, those who have used their ability to respond to the Gospel message of Jesus through faith, will co-reign with Christ in His righteous and just Kingdom, living eternally with Him in wonderful glory!

This is the hope that anchors us against every storm of life!

If you have never chosen to respond to what Christ Jesus has done for you with faith and believing in Him, I encourage you to consider doing so. Will you ponder the Good News of John 3:16?

"For God so loved the world, He gave His one and only Son

that whosoever believes in Him

will not die but have everlasting life."
